The South Beach Diet is one of the popular diet plans, which helps people lose weight quickly. Dieticians find it healthier than the other diets like the Atkins diet, which is more imbalanced. Some of the foods a person on a South Beach Diet can eat are: 1. Nuts - cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios. A spoonful of these nuts will provide enough minerals required.
2. More than 90% of Yoghurt is water. Have the low fat, low carbohydrate and low sugar version of yoghurt available at stores, when on diet.
3. Cheese should be purchased in prepackaged portions, so that only a small amount is eaten at a time. String cheese has the least calories compared to other types of cheese.
4. Tomatoes contain Vitamins but few calories and are suitable for a South Beach diet. The tomatoes can be sliced and eaten raw with salt
5. Natural peanut butter or low carbohydrate peanut butter is tasty and can be eaten with a leafy green vegetable. The peanut butter should have no sugar added and no trans fats.
6. Peas can be shelled and eaten raw or with some vegetable dip . Sweet mini-peppers can also be eaten raw. |
